Description
Rain Harris is a sculptor, installation artist, and jewelry designer, originally from Oakland California. Harris received her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design in 1997 and her MFA from The Ohio State University 2008. Her work has been exhibited in group shows at the US Chamber of Commerce, The Ferrin Gallery in Lenox Massachusetts, the Society of Arts and Crafts in Boston and the Garth Clark Gallery in New York. She has had solo shows at the Philadelphia International Airport, The Clay Studio in Philadelphia, PA and The Sherrie Gallerie in Columbus, OH. Harris has received numerous grants and fellowships including an American Craft Council Emerging Artist Grant, an Independence Foundation Fellowship, three Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Special Opportunity Stipends, a Leeway Foundation Achievement Grant and two Window of Opportunity Grants. Her work is in private collections and museum both nationally and internationally.
