“Selecting animals as mascots and team names often stems from the belief that animals represent qualities such as pride, bravery, and toughness. When Shepard and I discussed this concept, our aim was to reimagine the traditional team mascot as a symbol of resilience against climate change. This led to the creation of “Climate Clash.”
This collaboration with Shepard marks our third project together, and I’m immensely thankful for the opportunities to combine our efforts, his activism, our friendship, and the invaluable lessons he’s imparted to me over the past 12 years.”

Frank Shepard Fairey is an American contemporary street artist, graphic designer, activist, illustrator, and founder of OBEY Clothing who emerged from the skateboarding scene. He first became known for his “”Andre the Giant Has a Posse”” sticker campaign while attending the Rhode Island School of Design.
