Wolff Buchholz was born in 1935 in Hamburg, Germany. From 1955 to 1957 he studied at the “Hochschule für Bildende Künste” in Hamburg, under professors such as Kurt Kranz, Johannes Itten and Theo Garve. 1957-1958 Study visit to Paris. First etchings in 1958. In the sixties he studied and worked temporarily in France and London. From 1964 studio practice in Hamburg-Farmsen. Buchholz used a wide range of artistic techniques, in particular etching and lithography, hand drawing, egg / oil and acrylic painting. The object of his pictures are primarily human figures merging with nature, with an abstract-dynamic formal idiom.
